I have to be honest. I took a little break to play some World of Warcraft and I've been slacking a little bit on Rhune: Dawn of Twilight. That isn't to say I haven't been writing every week (hell, almost every day), only that I've fallen a little behind in my schedule. Nothing I can't make up, trust me. Fact is, I do a lot besides write. In reality, I'm pretty busy. In addition to writing and designing Rhune, I work on this site (although thankfully, I have a designer that does most of the heavy lifting - Thanks Chris!!), run a PbP (play-by-post) over on the Paizo boards (I'm known as the Replacement GM here), produce the new Rhune Newsletter Twilight's Dawn, and run a local tabletop game. I also run local Pathfinder Society games. Oh, and I work, too.
As you can imagine, I don't get a lot of free time to play WoW unless I just pull myself away and make it. So, every once in a while, when I'm feeling a little burnt out, that's exactly what I do. It's sort of like a local vacation, except with a lot less scotch. Mmmm... scotch. So anyway....
Feats and Traits!!
This batch actually compliments each other, so I think you'll all enjoy what I have to offer - even if it does seem to bend the rules a little!
Even More Traits [General]
You have tapped into your racial and social history, activating abilities that have long lain dormant.
Prerequisites: Additional Traits Feat
Benefit: You gain two more character traits of your choice (see Chapter 8). These traits need not be chosen from different lists, but you cannot have more than 2 total traits from any given list. You must still meet any additional qualifications for the character traits you choose.
As to those traits....
Bookworm [Social]:You spent much of your youth with your nose shoved in a book. Your insatiable curiosity opened your mind to facts about Rhune that others missed. Select 1 Knowledge skill in which you are proficient. You now gain a +1 trait bonus on skill checks related to that skill.
Deus Ex Machina [Faith]: You understand that the automata – Midgard’s own sentient clockwork machines – are as much a part of the divine plan as any of their biological creators. As a result, you tend to empathize with them and they react accordingly. You gain a +1 trait bonus to Diplomacy skill checks when dealing with automata and Diplomacy is always a class skill for you.
Storm Touched [Combat]: The distant sound of the storm is a constant reminder that Ragnarök is coming and you’ve learned to harness that sensation. Whenever you fight in stormy weather, you gain a +2 trait bonus to hit enemies in melee combat. You still suffer any miss chance penalties incurred from conditions (such as fog) that inhibit visibility.
Clockworks’ Bane [Magic]: You understand that automated creatures’ mechanical nature makes them easy to predict and use that knowledge to bypass their defenses more easily than others. You gain a +1 trait bonus to deliver touch spells in melee combat against constructs.
